MinJu Lee

I'm a Ph.D. candidate (Concentration: Organizational Behavior, Management Department) at the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin.

I study how individuals develop and maintain dyadic relationships at work. Sometimes these relationships are formal and assigned in task flows – with supervisors, peers, and customers. Other times they are informal and discretionary, such as with feedback, career advice, challenging voice, and friendship. I am especially interested in features and events that potentially impede dyadic relationships, such as (the onset of) virtual work, changes in partner’s formal role, and demographic differences between actor and alter.

Before starting the PhD program in 2019, I received an MA in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania, and two BAs in Economics and Statistics from the University of Chicago. I also worked as a consultant and a data scientist.
